Ashley McDaniels, a specialist with the United States Army, and a direct support specialist with Orange Grove Center, was recently presented a medal for "outstanding support, increasing awareness, and welcoming coming home," in addition to other honors.
Between 2011 to 2012, she was stationed in Kuwait and Qatar as part of Operation Enduring Freedom during her deployment with the 461st HR Co (Human Resources Company) out of Rome, GA. McDaniels works in Orange Grove's Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF), serving individuals with developmental disabilities in the Center's residences and ICF medical clinic.
Ashley recently presented a coin to ICF nurse, Teresa Hicks, who maintained contact with and sent care packages to Ashley during her deployment. She then unselfishly presented her award to Orange Grove Center as an employer medal for their support of her during her time away.
Our heartfelt thanks to Ashley for giving, not once, but on several occasions to everyone here at home.
