ICF residents recently traveled to Branson, MO (Tiftonia residence), Panama City, FL (Glenwood B), Columbus, GA (Brookhaven), Florida (Brookhaven) and Gatlinburg, TN (Whispering Hills and Dowlen residences).
Recreation and leisure are beneficial to anyone's life. The positive impact they have on the lives of those we serve is enormous. Vacations and community inclusion are key components to their programs.

In the ICF program, typically there are two primary means of access trips:
1. When consumers have trips or vacations attached to ISP action steps or outcomes
2. The advisement of the consumers, conservators and staff members. The ICF residential coordinator and staff members devise a trip proposal. The trip proposal includes an agenda, including departure and arrival times, scheduled activities, accomodations, special needs and supports are planned. To provide appropriate support on these trips we have sent vans that contain adaptative equipment, such as lifts and shower chains so that people can be adequately supported.
These trips are no easy feat! Their success is a reflection of the diligent planning and tireless efforts of the staff members' desire to provide individuals with every facet of life.
